Frequently Asked Questions
How does the monetization checker work?
We fetch public channel and video data from the YouTube Data API and evaluate it against YouTube Partner Program thresholds and ad-serving signals. The result is an informed estimate — YouTube does not publish monetization status publicly.
What do CPM and RPM mean?
CPM is what advertisers pay per 1,000 ad impressions. RPM is what you actually earn per 1,000 views after YouTube's revenue share. Our estimates use an RPM range of $0.50–$20.
How much does 1 million views earn?
Anywhere from about $500 to $20,000 depending on niche, audience country, watch time and ad engagement. Finance content earns the most; entertainment typically earns the least.
Can you check if a video has ads?
We report ad-eligibility signals (made-for-kids status, embed settings, channel thresholds). Exact ad counts and mid-roll placements are not available from the public API.
Can you detect strikes or shadowbans?
Community Guideline strikes are private to the channel owner. We report whether content is publicly indexed and visible, which rules out most suppression signals, but a definitive strike check is not possible publicly.
How can I increase my earnings?
Improve watch time, target higher-CPM topics and geographies, and upload consistently. For hands-on help, our partner MadCurve offers channel strategy, optimization and management.
